Fairfield Glade’s Ed Lewis has come out of retirement to take one more role, this time in journalism instead of politics.
Lewis is writing for “Tee Times” Magazine. His first stories appeared in the March 2011 edition, now in golf pro shops around the region. One story is about the holes-in-one recorded at FFG golf courses and the other is about how Crossville came to be called The Golf Capital of Tennessee.
Lewis had 20-plus year careers in the military and in business. He was a U.S. Naval Officer from 1956-1967, serving as an Intelligence Specialist in Counter Intelligence, Clandestine Surveillance and Communications Intercepts. He worked in the U.S., several foreign countries, and the White House. From 1967-2000, he advised numerous Fortune 100 companies.
Lewis was valedictorian of his high school class in Calhoun, Georgia and holds two degrees (Journalism, Law) from the University of Georgia. He and wife Marjorie have been married since 1961. They lived in Phoenix for 30 years before moving here. Lewis is president of the FFG Republican Club.
