Dearly Departed  – 09/13/11 To 11/12/11
“Backwoods comedy” in the spirit of The Foreigner and Duck Hunter (but rated PG without the “13” quirkiness of Duck). The good ole Turpin family tries to pull themselves together for a funeral. Problems overshadow the occasion, but eccentric, loveable friends and neighbors help out, and prove living and dying in the South is seldom tidy, and sometimes hilarious. Rated PG

Smoke on the Mountain – 09/14/11To 10/29/11
18th Playhouse Year! The great bluegrass and gospel favorite, in its longest run ANYWHERE! Rated G except for “one word that ought not be used in church”. But Mama and the family must have something to forgive Uncle Stanley for in the second act!

Dreamgirls – 09/16/11 To 10/14/11
