The Sanders Family Returns to the Playhouse

Back to Front; L to R: Daniel Black, Bobby Taylor, Lauren Marshall, Jason Ross, Leila Nelson, Patty Payne and Austin Price in the 2010 Production of Sanders

The Sanders Family returns to the Playhouse on November 18 at 7:30pm for their 12th season of A Sanders Family Christmas.  Back at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church to celebrate Christmas, 1941, shortly after Pearl Harbor, and to have their final Saturday night singing before Dennis reports for basic training, the Sanders Family share songs and testimonies; all the while Preacher Oglethorpe continues his pursuit of June (played by CCP favorites Jason Ross and Patty Payne).

Bobby Taylor, who led the cast as “Burl” for the New York Off-Broadway Revival, directed by co-creator Alan Bailey, will be directing as well as playing Daddy Burl.  Also returning to the all-star cast is Daniel Black, as Uncle Stanley, Lauren Marshall as fiddlin’ Mama Vera, Emily Woods as twin daughter Denise and Austin Price as her brother Dennis.

SANDERS is rated G and great fun for the whole family.  Currently at the Playhouse is the great musical of tradition, faith, and family, Fiddler on the Roof, thru Dec 18 and sponsored by M.
