Veteran banker Richard Fox takes over reigns at the Bank of Crossville

Richard Fox

Richard Fox is the new Branch Manager of The Bank of Crossville. A long-time veteran of the banking industry, Richard assumed his new duties in June of this year.

A graduate of Cumberland County High School and Tennessee Tech University, Richard spent four years at First Tennessee Bank in Chattanooga; four years at Union Planters; and 10 years at Cumberland County Bank, where he served as Branch Manager.

Bank of Crossville just celebrated their fifth year in business, and Richard is looking forward to the future with his new job. “I really enjoy working with Mr. Phil Crawford, President and CEO of the First National Bank of Pikeville, of which Bank of Crossville is affiliated. He is considered to be a very well known and knowledgeable banker, with 38 years of experience,” Fox said.

“I have only been here four months, but it didn’t take me long to find out what kind of man I was working for. Recently, when an employee’s son died unexpectedly, Mr. Crawford closed the bank in Pikeville a half day so the employees could attend the funeral. That impressed me and told me a lot about the organization I was working for.”

“Big banks are not necessarily better,” Fox said. “Please give us an opportunity to serve you. We have a friendly staff and a beautiful building and a great location in Crossville. I can assure you we will treat you with the same kind of respect that our President has for his employees. We are a bank with experience and heart.”

Full-time employees working with Richard at Bank of Crossville are: Christy Tollett, Customer Service Representative; Susan Oakes , Liz Deaton and Kate Monday, Tellers.

Richard is the son of L.A. and Jean Fox of Crossville. He attends Main Street Church of Christ. He is single.

You can contact Mr. Fox at 484-1112.
